Some of our activities

Bouldering

Bouldering is a type of rock climbing that is done on shorter climbing walls, usually around 10–15 feet high, without the use of ropes or harnesses. Instead, thick padded mats (called crash pads) are placed on the ground to keep climbers safe when they come down.

Auto Belays

An auto belay is a special climbing safety device that takes the place of a human belayer (the person normally holding the rope at the bottom). It is attached to the top of the climbing wall and has a strong, retractable rope or webbing that connects to the climber’s harness.

Trust Haul

In climbing programs, a trust haul is often used as a vertical team-building exercise where a climber is physically assisted upward by their partner(s) using a rope system. It’s less about technical climbing skill and more about building reliance, communication, and teamwork while on the wall.

What Teachers Have been saying.

Carlin, Deb & their team hosted my grade 10 class for almost 2 hours this week, and we had a blast. They were very well organized, warming us up with both team building activities and yoga, and then teaching the students safety and letting them climb. Staff was engaging and encouraging and participated alongside the students. The atmosphere was positive. There was a climb or experience for everyone. I would highly recommend the Climber's Crush for a school field trip or your own fun! Thanks Carlin & Deb.

My kids attended a daycamp at climbers crush and they loved it! We can’t say enough good things about the place along with the staff and owners. Owen Sound is very lucky to have this gem!

Thank you! These past five weeks have been enjoyable and engaging, and we have all learned so much. All the staff were super helpful and supportive when we needed help and guidance. We will carry our new found love for climbing into future opportunities. Thanks for everything!
